CURRENT VACANCIES:
Graduate Civil / Structural Engineer
Salary: £25k to £35k (subject to experience)
Full-time Position: 37.5 hours per week (flexible working possibilities)
Holidays: 25 days per annum plus UK bank holidays (additional holiday accrued based on a time served basis up to a maximum of 30 days per annum)
Benefits: Pension + annual performance related bonus + work related travel cost reimbursement.
We are seeking a full-time Graduate Civil and / or Structural Engineer to join our growing and enthusiastic team at Technicus Consulting.
Our office is based in Gorleston-on-Sea. However, some remote / flexible working is possible subject to experience and very much developed on a mutual trust basis.
As a small consultancy, our technical team includes two Directors and a Senior Principal Engineer. This structure offers significant opportunities for the right individual to become an integral part of our business and contribute to its future growth. Career progression towards professional membership status is offered and supported.
Requirements:
MEng, BEng, BSc or other relevant structural engineering degree.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Minimum 1 – 2 years Structural engineering design experience from previous work in a consulting engineering office environment.
Preparation of basic structural analysis and design calculations by hand and through use of structural engineering software.
Design experience in steelwork, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry.
Preparation of project design summary drawings and specifications using AutoCAD software (3D modelling experience would be advantageous).
A desire for career development and working towards professional membership with the ICE or IStructE.
Roads and drainage design experience would be advantageous.
A full UK driving licence and your own transport is required.

Experienced Structural Engineer
Salary: £40k to £50k (subject to experience)

We are seeking a full-time Structural Engineer to join our growing and enthusiastic team at Technicus Consulting.
Our office is based n Gorleston-On-Sea. However, some remote / flexible working is possible.
As a small consultancy, our technical team includes two Directors and a Senior Principal Engineer. This structure offers significant opportunities for the right individual to become an integral part of our business and contribute to its future growth. Career advancement is a real prospect, with the potential to rise to the position of Associate and possibly Director, depending on experience and performance. There is also long-term potential for the right candidate to become a Partner in the business.
Requirements:
Professional member of the ICE or IStructE to CEng or IEng level.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Minimum 3 – 5 years Structural engineering design and consultancy experience.
Preparation of structural analysis and design calculations and reports for complex structures in steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry.
Roads and drainage design experience would be advantageous.
Offshore structural design experience preferred but not essential.
Conducting structural condition surveys, generating reports, and developing remedial work schemes.
Project management of own projects, and managing more junior staff to meet project requirements from initial client enquiry and fee proposal preparation stage through to preliminary design, detailed design, drawing and specification preparation, delivery and project completion.
Business management related duties, such as QMS compliance, auditing etc.
A full UK driving licence and your own transport is required.
