Purified Water Project
Norfolk
Technicus has completed a scheme to provide a new plant facility to house an advanced purified water system.
Technicus acted as lead consultant, acting as Principal Designer, under the Construction, Design & Management Regulations (CDM 2015), coordinating the architectural work and carrying out civil and structural engineering services. Technicus acted as the Contract Administrator, preparing contract documentation and administering the JCT Minor Works 2016 contract.
The scheme development involved working with the client’s in-house process engineers and external process/M&E consultants.
The new water system plant will provide the client’s complex with increased quantities of purified water for their pharmaceutical production facility.
The plant area was lined in Altro White Rock hygienic cladding and provided with a positive air pressure and air handling system.
The plant facility was designed to have additional roof mounted plant with access for maintenance. The latest phase of plant improvement works has seen the introduction of a large, roof mounted adiabatic cooler mounted on Big-foot roof support frames.
