Mobbs Way Business Park New Industrial Units

Technicus Consulting was appointed by M.S. Oakes Ltd to provide structural design and consultancy services for all new buildings on the Mobbs Way Business Park development.
This project involved design of 5 new blocks of steel portal framed industrial buildings with curved roofs providing 19 light industrial / trade counter type units for lease.
Technicus Consulting provided the following services for the project for all 5 new industrial buildings on the site:
- Early stage site investigation works to ascertain ground conditions to assist with foundation design;
- Detailed structural design and detailing of foundations;
- Detailed structural design and detailing of industrial floor slabs;
- Detailed structural design and detailing of superstructure steel framing and cold-rolled cladding support members;
- Design of internal ancillary structural steel mezzanine floor structures and access staircases etc.
- Structural consultancy support during construction phase;
This new development forms part of the Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership aimed at encouraging commercial growth in the area. This means new tenants will benefit from free business rates for up to 5 years, and high speed broadband.
