Business Nearly as Usual

Following the Government advising on the 16th April 2020 that the UK Coronavirus Lockdown will continue for at least another 3 weeks the Directors and staff at Technicus Consulting are keen to advise our existing and new clients that we are still open for business. In accordance with the Governments guidance on social distancing, and only travelling for essential reasons, we have been working from home since 23rd March 2020. Our IT infrastructure is set-up to allow our staff to work remotely from the offices whilst still having access to the office Server, emails and the specialist design software we use to deliver top-class civil and structural engineering design, consultancy and due diligence services to our clients. We are regularly using video conferencing software and Facetime to allow us to keep in touch with each other and our clients whilst ensuring social distancing restrictions are not breached. This allows us carry on with essential business management meetings, keep in touch with our staff, and efficiently manage our workload to ensure we can continue to deliver our clients projects as efficiently and smoothly as possible during these unprecedented times.

Social distancing restrictions make face-to-face meetings with clients and visits to occupied properties or buildings challenging and risky at this time. However, under exceptional circumstances, such as a health and safety emergency projects (i.e. vehicle impact damaged structures), visits can be carried out providing the health and safety risks to our staff, clients and other project stakeholders can be mitigated, or minimised to an acceptable level. Any such visits or meetings will not be carried out unless the health and safety risks are effectively managed and deemed acceptable by the company Directors and staff involved.

Structural surveys of unoccupied properties or buildings continue to be risk assessed and carried out, and we have successfully completed several of these projects over the last couple of weeks.

The vast majority of the design and consultancy services we provide are normally office based tasks. Therefore, we are still able to deliver design calculations, drawings and reports in the same efficient manner as we would do working from the offices.

If you have a new project enquiry and you are not currently in contact with one of our staff, please call either of our office phone numbers, or email us at info@technicus.uk.com with your enquiry. We would be pleased to discuss your project with you and provide a fee proposal for the services you require.

The Directors and staff at Technicus Consulting would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clients for their continued support, and hope you stay safe and well during these difficult and challenging times.
